Description

Provide specialized medical care focused on gastrointestinal disorders and associated organs. The role includes diagnostic evaluations, coordination with primary care and neurology specialists, HIPAA-compliant practice, accurate ICD-10 coding, and basic life support in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic evaluations for gastrointestinal disorders

• Perform aesthetic laser treatments as needed

• Collaborate with primary care physicians for comprehensive patient care

• Provide basic life support in emergency situations

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

• Apply knowledge of ICU protocols and procedures

• Code diagnoses accurately using ICD-10

• Manage medical office operations efficiently

• Perform phlebotomy procedures when necessary

• Coordinate with neurology specialists for integrated patient care

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution

• Board certification in Gastroenterology (BC/BE)

• Valid medical license in the state of practice

• Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and medical terminology

• Experience working in a medical office setting

• Ability to phlebotomize patients effectively

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance standards

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• DEA certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
