Description

You will design, develop, and maintain automated tests for a backend built with Python and FastAPI, and for a web application using React. The work includes testing REST APIs, backend services, data flows, and integrations between components, then integrating automated regression and integration tests into CI/CD. You’ll also ensure requirements-to-tests traceability and produce repeatable formal test evidence—within a regulated/safety-critical context.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated backend and web UI test suites
• Test REST API endpoints, backend services, and data flow integration
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD and expand regression/integration coverage
• Analyze requirements, prepare test cases, and maintain traceability to test results
• Investigate defects, document outcomes, and create reusable test evidence
• Validate component cooperation using mocks and stubs
• Collaborate with developers, manual testing team, Verification Lead, and DevOps
• Follow formal documentation and verification process requirements

Requirements

• Experience with test automation: designing, implementing, and maintaining test sets
• Knowledge of Python, REST APIs, backend/service testing, and automation of web interface tests
• Experience with integration and regression testing, CI/CD, and mock/stub-based component communication testing
• Knowledge of Git and Linux; ability to work with test code in version control
• Ability to analyze requirements, create test cases, and ensure requirements/test/results traceability
• Experience analyzing defects, reporting, and preparing formal test evidence
• Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments; understanding formal software verification principles, independence of tests, and acceptance criteria
• Experience with requirement management tools and traceability (MatrixReq used in the project)
