Description

Join an engineering team delivering software solutions for an aviation-industry client. The project focuses on building and expanding scalable systems and applications based on Java architecture, with an emphasis on performance, code quality, and well-crafted solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve Java-based applications using Java 8+ and J2EE

• Design and implement solutions using sound architecture and design principles

• Build and maintain integrations and services using REST and SOAP

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB)

• Create and maintain automated tests using TDD with JUnit and Mockito

• Diagnose system issues using root cause analysis and implement solutions

• Develop utilities and tools to automate data and result processing/analysis

• Monitor and improve code quality and contribute to development standards and metrics

• Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git (branching and merging)

• Collaborate with developers, architects, and technical leaders to deliver high-quality solutions

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the team

• Work independently, own assigned tasks, and continuously learn new tools and technologies

• Work with cloud technologies; AWS is preferred

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience

• Strong experience with Java 8+ / Core Java / J2EE

• Knowledge of software architecture and design principles

• Strong OOP skills

• Experience with Spring Framework 5

• Experience with Hibernate/ORM

• Hands-on experience with Apache Camel and Tomcat

• Experience with RESTful and SOAP-based services

• Knowledge of Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB

• Experience with Git and CI/CD, including branching and merging

• TDD experience with JUnit 4+ and Mockito

• Debugging, profiling, system diagnostics, and root cause analysis experience

• Logging frameworks knowledge and troubleshooting via logs

• Understanding of code quality and software metrics

• Ability to work with technical leaders and independently take ownership

• Legal work permit in Poland
