Description

We’re looking for a consultant to design, develop, and maintain high-quality customer-facing web services in Java. You’ll implement authentication and authorization, build REST services (e.g., with Netty), and optimize performance and reliability with scaling strategies. The role also involves working with data storage and caching plus CI/CD and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain customer-facing web services

• Implement authentication, authorization, and scaling strategies

• Optimize performance and reliability of Java applications

• Work with data storage and caching technologies

• Write REST-based services using frameworks such as Netty

• Integrate and operate CI/CD tools and automation testing

• Collaborate across teams on high-profile projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of programming experience

• Strong Java expertise (Core Java, multithreading, non-blocking I/O)

• Experience building customer-facing web services

• Knowledge of data storage technologies (e.g., Cassandra, Redis)

• Expertise in Java performance tuning and scaling web services

• Experience writing REST services

• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and automation testing

• Excellent analytical and communication skills

• Ability to thrive in multi-functional teams
