Description

Build, develop, and maintain software using PHP, Symfony, and JavaScript. Prepare technical documentation and propose improvements to software development and testing processes. Perform code reviews and participate in technical consultations for ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop the client’s software

• Develop solutions using PHP, Symfony, and JavaScript

• Create and maintain technical documentation for the application

• Propose improvements in software development

• Identify opportunities to improve tools and testing processes

• Conduct code reviews with respect to code quality and agreed project standards

• Participate in consultations during working group meetings for ongoing projects

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of software development in PHP 7+

• Very good practical knowledge of the Symfony framework (versions 3–6+)

• Ability to program in JavaScript

• Knowledge of design patterns used in PHP and JavaScript

• Practical knowledge of REST communication

• SQL syntax knowledge

• Ability to use the Git version control system

• Team collaboration and communication skills

• Independence and ability to search for optimal solutions

• Initiative to improve the work being performed

• Ability to conduct constructive code reviews, share knowledge, and follow project standards

Additional Qualifications

• 8+ years of PHP 7+ development

• Practical knowledge of GitLab (4+ years or 5 projects)

• Practical knowledge of Symfony 4+ (5+ years or 7 projects)

• Practical knowledge of API Platform (3+ years or 5 projects)

• Practical knowledge of Yii2 (5+ years or 5 projects)

• Unit testing experience, preferably PHPUnit (3+ years or 5 projects)

• Practical knowledge of Docker and Docker Compose (4+ years or 5 projects)

• Practical knowledge of RabbitMQ from a developer perspective (1+ year or 2 projects)

• Experience creating tests with Behat (1+ year or 2 projects)

• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 for web pages (2+ years or 3 projects)

• Practical knowledge of Elasticsearch from a developer perspective (1+ year or 2 projects)

• Practical knowledge of GitLab CI and code analysis tools in CI (2+ years or 4 projects)

• Experience building web applications for grant applications: announcing calls, registration, and evaluation of applications (2+ years or 2 projects; excluding systems based only on importing external files)
