Description

Operate and run end-to-end data center network fabrics on Cisco ACI and Cisco Nexus, and support the planned transition toward Huawei components starting from 2028. The position covers day-to-day operations, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, monitoring, incident handling, and documentation in a regulated banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Data Center Network products across the lifecycle (transition to operations, changes/releases, decommissioning)
• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco ACI (APIC, tenant policies, L4–L7 service graphs)
• Configure and support Cisco Nexus switching on NX-OS with vPC, FEX, and M-FC
• Perform ACI fabric upgrades and EPG changes in coordination with the Lead Network Engineer
• Manage firmware lifecycle for Nexus and ACI and handle licensing with Cisco Smart Licensing
• Prepare for Huawei CloudEngine rollout
• Analyze and resolve outages, packet loss, and multipath issues
• Handle 2nd/3rd-level incidents, support root cause analysis, and maintain known-error documentation/workarounds
• Support the on-call lead during major incidents (bridge calls, data collection, emergency changes)
• Tune event monitoring in CheckMK; report uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and capacity
• Investigate log anomalies flagged in Splunk and maintain standard syslog configurations
• Run vulnerability management (security patches, CVE tracking, remediation) aligned with ISMS requirements
• Maintain CMDB (IP addresses, VLANs, VRFs, configuration items) and track licenses and asset lifecycle
• Support internal/external audits and drive continual service improvement and automation; contribute to runbooks, standards, and SOPs

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on operations experience in data center environments
• Solid knowledge of Cisco ACI (APIC, tenant concepts, L4–L7 integration)
• Solid knowledge of Cisco Nexus and NX-OS
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP Data Center certification (CCNP preferred for senior candidates)
• Some experience with Huawei data center/CloudEngine components, or willingness to learn quickly
• Experience handling major incidents in a regulated environment (ideally banking)
• Solid understanding of ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Knowledge, Configuration, Event, Availability, Capacity
• Experience maintaining operational documentation
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Existing 1-person company registered in Poland (działalność gospodarcza)
