Description

This B2B long-term Network Engineer role focuses on operational execution for a data center network product based on Cisco ACI and Cisco Nexus. You will handle configuration, administration, and troubleshooting, participate in 24/7 on-call rotations, and support upgrades, incident handling, monitoring, and compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and troubleshoot Cisco ACI and Cisco Nexus

• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (evenings, nights, weekends, public holidays)

• Execute ACI fabric upgrades and manage firmware lifecycle

• Support on-call duty and manage major incidents

• Perform planned maintenance during non-core hours

• Incident response and resolution for higher-level tickets

• Configure and optimize event monitoring systems

• Monitor network capacity and identify bottlenecks

• Execute vulnerability management practices

• Maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

• Participate in compliance audits

• Identify and implement continual service improvements

• Manage service requests within the defined process

• Participate in disaster recovery exercises

• Improve documentation and support knowledge transfer

• Comply with security protocols in banking environments

Requirements

• Deep technical knowledge of Cisco ACI and Nexus operating systems

• Certifications: Cisco CCNA or Cisco CCNP Data Center (CCNP preferred for senior roles)

• At least several years of operational experience in data center environments

• Strong team and communication skills in an international setup

• Familiarity with ITIL processes in regulated environments

• Fluency in English (German is a plus)
