Description

Develop and maintain backend components for a system that embeds and later extracts an invisible identifier from video content to help trace unauthorized distribution. You’ll work across Python and performance-critical C++ components, including building and optimizing audio/video pipelines and diagnosing end-to-end performance issues. Technical direction is aligned with a Tech Lead, and you’ll collaborate with R&D for AI model integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend components, APIs, and integrations in Python.
• Implement and optimize C++ components used in multimedia processing and watermarking libraries.
• Build and evolve audio/video pipelines, including integration with GStreamer and encoders.
• Diagnose performance, synchronization, frame loss, and analyze the impact of changes across the full pipeline.
• Write tests (especially integration tests), participate in code reviews, and ensure code readability and quality.
• Collaborate with R&D to integrate AI models and adapt them to system requirements.
• Support deployments and environment diagnostics; propose improvements for developed components.

Requirements

• Commercial experience in software development and ability to independently deliver tasks within scope.
• Strong C++ skills, including memory management, debugging, and performance fundamentals.
• Practical Python experience with backend, API, or integration work (FastAPI or Django knowledge preferred).
• Fundamentals of audio/video processing and ability to trace data flow through a pipeline.
• Experience working with Docker and diagnosing issues using code, logs, and test results.
• Experience writing tests and using maintainable code practices (Clean Code, SOLID).
• Proactive approach, ownership of code quality, and readiness to collaborate on issue resolution.
• English proficiency to read and use technical documentation.
