Description

You will build and operate backend systems that serve as a single source of truth for trusted, governed, reusable content. The role focuses on improving file lifecycle handling, preventing duplicate processing, and enabling efficient reuse of already processed outputs at very large scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs for the content catalog domain

• Improve workflows for detecting and acting on duplicate content files

• Model and query data for auditability, versioning, and efficient access

• Build and maintain batch data pipelines using Apache Beam and Cloud Dataflow

• Work with cloud storage, wide-column NoSQL, messaging, and analytics/warehouse queries

• Define and manage infrastructure as code with secure IAM and compliance controls

Requirements

• Solid experience building and operating production backend services and APIs at scale

• Proficiency in Java or Scala (ideally both)

• Strong knowledge of API design, schema evolution, and backward compatibility

• Ability to model data for auditability, versioning, and efficient querying

• Understanding of batch vs real-time pipeline tradeoffs

• Experience with Apache Beam and Cloud Dataflow

• Hands-on experience with cloud data services (object storage, wide-column NoSQL, message queues, data warehouse queries)

• Infrastructure-as-code experience for storage, messaging, NoSQL, analytics, and IAM

• Security fundamentals: encryption at rest, key management, access control

• Experience in regulated/compliance-sensitive environments (e.g., deletion, access requests, retention, audit trails)
