Description

As an Accounting Expert, you will manage and continuously improve end-to-end OTC (Order-to-Cash) and PTP (Purchase-to-Pay) processes. The role includes maintaining and further developing processes such as customer master data, sales order and billing, receivables management, and special areas like expat settlement. You will also ensure quality of operational execution by an external accounting provider, coordinate with stakeholders, and support monthly closing and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and support OTC and PTP process operations

• Develop OTC processes (customer master data, sales order, billing, receivables management, expat settlement)

• Steer and quality-assure execution by an external accounting service provider

• Coordinate and resolve process and system topics with business teams

• Act as an interface between business areas, central procurement, operational accounting, and suppliers

• Handle requirements, documentation, quality gates, and status reporting; support process and system integration

• Support financial reporting processes in month-end closing

• Continuously optimize and implement new accounting process requirements based on internal and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• Completed degree in business administration (accounting/controlling) or equivalent

• Several years of accounting experience, especially in OTC and PTP (invoicing, payment processing, dunning)

• Very good SAP knowledge

• Experience with method-, process- and system design for accounting/controlling processes

• Basic understanding of tax and regulatory requirements (VAT, commercial law, IFRS)

• Knowledge of accounting compliance requirements

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel

• Analytical, interdisciplinary, and solution-oriented mindset in an international environment

• Ability to communicate complex topics in a targeted way

• Intercultural competence and teamwork

• German and English proficiency at C1 level
