Description

You’ll join a cross-functional product team to design and build backend services, APIs, and integrations for a modern platform built with TypeScript. The workflow includes AI-assisted development, but engineers remain responsible for technical decisions, implementation, and code quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations
• Translate business requirements into well-defined technical solutions (clarify requirements, identify edge cases, break down complex tasks)
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions; evaluate approaches and trade-offs
• Work with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
• Use AI coding tools and agents to support development, while critically reviewing and validating output
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product stakeholders

Requirements

• Solid backend development experience with TypeScript and Node.js (required)
• Good understanding of API design, databases, and software engineering principles
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, etc.)
• Quality-focused mindset (automated testing, code reviews, maintainability)
• Good English communication skills; ability to work independently in a distributed team
• Mid: deliver tasks independently; understand common architectural patterns; eager to develop system design skills
• Senior: strong system design/architecture experience, especially distributed and event-driven systems; comfortable leading discussions and mentoring
