Description

You will join the Equities Technology team to design, develop, and maintain Java-based services and integrations that process and distribute trade and order data. The role focuses on building event-driven data pipelines (Kafka-based) supporting reporting, analytics, operational workflows, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to ensure the right information is available with the right quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based services for trade and order data processing
• Build integrations between trading platforms, market infrastructure, external vendors, and internal consumers
• Develop data pipelines and event-driven solutions using modern integration patterns
• Contribute to the evolution of a Kafka-based integration landscape
• Work with architects and senior engineers on solution design and technical direction
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and challenge assumptions
• Drive simplification and reduce unnecessary complexity
• Apply modern engineering practices including AI-assisted development and automation
• Support production systems and solve complex technical and data-related issues
• Participate in architecture discussions and long-term platform development
• Mentor colleagues and promote engineering best practices

Requirements

• At least 4-5 years of professional Java development experience
• Strong experience designing and developing enterprise applications
• Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases
• Experience designing integration solutions and distributed systems
• Experience participating in architectural discussions and technical design activities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Pragmatic software engineering mindset focused on maintainability and simplicity
• Experience working with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
