Role: DevOps Engineer (Java, Azure, Kubernetes). Work model: Hybrid in Kraków (3 days/week on-site; non-negotiable), full-time. Rate: 130–160 PLN/h (B2B). Start: December 2026.

Description

You will own CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Kubernetes on Azure, applying hands-on Java understanding when needed across modern and legacy systems. The role focuses on automating deployment processes, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and scaling—while investigating production issues and improving reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for smooth and reliable deployments to Azure
• Automate application deployment, monitoring, and scaling across Azure services, including App Services, Azure SQL, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Administer and optimize Unix/Linux workloads using Shell/Bash scripting
• Create and maintain Python-based scripts and tools to automate DevOps workflows
• Investigate technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes across development and production environments
• Maintain stability, optimize performance, and uphold security standards
• Contribute to code reviews and share knowledge to improve engineering practices

Requirements

• At least 10 years of IT experience, including 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or a related role
• Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (deployment and monitoring)
• Strong DevOps practices knowledge: CI/CD, automation, Infrastructure as Code
• Hands-on IaC experience with Terraform and/or ARM and/or Bicep
• Proficiency with Kubernetes for orchestration and scaling
• Experience with Unix/Linux and Shell/Bash scripting
• Good knowledge of Python for automation and tooling
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including debugging distributed systems
• Git and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins
• Java proficiency (8/11/17)
• Fluent English
• Polish or EU citizenship, or permanent residence/work permit valid for at least 12 months

Nice to Have

• Ansible
• Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Azure Monitor
