Description

Join an international Agile Scrum team to develop and continuously improve a core business platform using Guidewire PolicyCenter. You will extend product setup and rating functionality, implement integrations via REST APIs, troubleshoot issues, and translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions. The role involves collaboration with business, delivery, and distributed stakeholders across multiple European markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure new functionality in Guidewire PolicyCenter, focusing on product setup, rating, and related business processes

• Design and implement REST API integrations and support data exchange with other applications

• Analyze existing functionality and improve the platform with a focus on clean architecture, maintainability, and code quality

• Troubleshoot production and development issues; resolve defects and reduce technical debt

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with Business Analysts and Product Owners

• Contribute to solution design and development standards through technical discussions

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation

• Use Azure DevOps to support development workflows, source control, and delivery processes

• Collaborate with distributed teams and stakeholders across European locations

• Participate in Scrum ceremonies (planning, daily meetings, refinement, retrospectives)

• Support continuous improvement of development practices and the platform/delivery process

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with Guidewire PolicyCenter

• Practical knowledge of product configuration and rating functionality

• Good understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and common design patterns

• Strong focus on clean, maintainable, high-quality code

• Good understanding of REST APIs from both consumer and provider perspectives

• Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts

• Previous experience working as a developer within Scrum or another Agile delivery environment

• Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and independently drive issues toward resolution

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Fluent English

• Ability to work effectively in an international and distributed team

• Willingness to learn new technologies and expand knowledge of the platform
