Description

Lead the development of Data Engineering capabilities while designing end-to-end data platform architectures and scalable data pipelines for new client projects. You will partner with clients and product teams, mentor Data Engineers, define standards and best practices, and support presales by recommending technical solutions. The role emphasizes optimizing platforms for performance, cost, security, and maintainability and staying current with new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Co-create the direction of Data Engineering capability development
• Design modern data platform architectures and end-to-end solutions for new projects
• Support teams in technical and architectural decision-making
• Mentor Data Engineers and share knowledge across the organization
• Participate in presales, customer workshops, and recommend technical solutions
• Define standards and best practices for Data Engineering
• Design and implement reliable, scalable data processing pipelines
• Develop and optimize data platforms for performance, cost, security, and maintainability
• Collaborate closely with clients, project teams, and technical leads across the organization
• Monitor new technologies and initiate and implement innovative solutions

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role
• Very good knowledge of data platform architecture and end-to-end solution design experience
• Practical experience building Databricks-based solutions using Python/PySpark (or similar modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse)
• Experience designing and evolving scalable data platforms
• Experience with technical team leadership via initiatives or projects
• Ability to lead technical discussions with clients and recommend appropriate solutions
• Experience with data governance, security, and cost optimization
• Experience working as a Software Engineer
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools
• Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with platforms such as Snowflake or BigQuery
• Experience with Microsoft technologies including Azure, Azure cloud services, and .NET
• Knowledge of AI-supported programming environments, agentic programming techniques, and MCP (Model Context Protocol)
