Description

Join a strategic transformation program for card transaction systems. The goal is to replace the current transaction switch and integration components with NCR Atleos Authentic while preserving end-to-end process continuity and top security standards. You will design the target architecture, integrate with banking and payment environments, and define HA/DR/BC and zero-downtime deployment strategies.

Role description & Responsibilities

• Design the target architecture for card solutions based on NCR Atleos Authentic

• Plan and oversee migration of card systems while ensuring service continuity

• Define High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity architecture

• Design zero-downtime and non-impact deployment strategies

• Integrate the transaction switch with authorization systems, banking systems, and ATM/POS infrastructure

• Coordinate with payment organizations (Visa, Mastercard) and technology vendors

• Produce architecture documentation (HLD, LLD) and technical recommendations

• Analyze business/technical requirements, identify risks, and assess change impact

• Facilitate architecture workshops and support delivery teams during implementation

Requirements

• Experience as an IT Architect in card systems or electronic payments

• Experience implementing and developing NCR Atleos Authentic (or comparable card switch solutions)

• Proven experience delivering migrations of bank-critical systems

• Practical experience with zero downtime deployment approaches: Zero Downtime, Blue-Green Deployment, Canary Release, Rollback Strategy, Active-Active / Active-Passive

• Hands-on knowledge of card processing/payment flows: Card Issuing, ATM Acquiring, POS Acquiring, E-commerce Acquiring, transaction authorization, Clearing & Settlement, Chargeback & Dispute Management, tokenization, 3-D Secure, DCC, contactless payments

• Ability to design High Availability systems and define DR/BCP (including SLA/KPI and RPO/RTO), with capacity planning

• Database knowledge (at least one): PostgreSQL (HA, Patroni), Oracle Database, or Microsoft SQL Server; plus replication, clustering, failover, and transactional performance optimization

• Security knowledge: PCI DSS, PCI PIN, PSD2, SCA, EMV, ISO 8583, DORA; plus experience with HSM (Thales, Entrust), Key Management/Key Ceremony, TR-31/TR-34, Zero Trust, IAM, PAM, SIEM
