• Focus: Card transaction processing architecture and critical payment system migrations

Description

Design target architecture for card transaction processing systems, including integration with ATM/POS handlers and authorization systems, with a focus on high availability, zero-downtime strategies, and disaster recovery. Lead architecture for critical system migrations and deployments (blue-green, canary, rollback, traffic switching) while defining SLA/KPI/RTO/RPO and capacity planning. Ensure compliance with payment security requirements, including PCI, cryptography, and HSM/key management, supported by HLD/LLD documentation and architectural workshops.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of IT architecture experience in card systems and transaction processing

• Experience designing, implementing, and developing card systems, preferably NCR Atleos Authentic or comparable solutions

• Strong knowledge of electronic payments architecture and card transaction processing/authorization

• Experience designing integrations for transaction switches with banking/authorization systems and ATM/POS infrastructure

• Practical experience working with Visa and Mastercard payment organizations and card solution providers

• Knowledge of standards and regulations in the payments industry

• Experience designing migrations of bank-critical systems

• Practical knowledge of zero-downtime and non-impact deployment strategies

• Experience designing high-availability architectures (Active-Active, Active-Passive, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity)

• Knowledge of replication, clustering, failover, and geographically redundant production environments

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Oracle Database, or Microsoft SQL Server, including HA, replication, and disaster recovery

• Experience defining RPO, RTO, SLA, and KPI parameters

• Ability to analyze performance requirements and perform capacity planning

• Knowledge of card system security: HSM, cryptography, key management, PCI requirements

• Experience preparing HLD and LLD architectural documentation

• Ability to define functional and non-functional requirements

• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence

• Experience identifying technology/operational risks, assessing change impact, and preparing architectural recommendations

• Ability to run architecture workshops and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
