Description

Configure, deploy, and support enterprise Linux server environments across live and non-live systems. Build automation capabilities and scripts to streamline operational tasks, perform proactive root-cause incident troubleshooting and capacity management, and collaborate on Unix/Linux design best practices including storage, networking, hardware, and virtualization. Ensure deployments follow strict enterprise security standards, risk policies, and change control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and manage Linux server environments in collaboration with DevOps pods
• Develop automation and write scripts (Shell, Python, Ansible) to reduce manual BAU work
• Conduct root-cause analysis, incident troubleshooting, and capacity management to prevent downtime
• Advise on Unix/Linux design best practices; support NAS/SAN storage, networking, hardware (IBM/HP), and virtualization platforms
• Ensure compliance with security standards, risk policies, and change control

Requirements

• 6–10 years of hands-on Linux server administration experience (RHEL preferred)
• Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl)
• Hands-on configuration management experience (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef)
• Solid background with enterprise hardware (IBM/HP x86), VMware virtualization, NAS/SAN storage, and core networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, VIPs)
• Experience operating in large-scale, highly regulated industries under strict ITIL/compliance frameworks
