Description

Join a project to establish and operate an enterprise virtualization platform based on Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization as an additional offering alongside an existing VMware landscape. This is primarily an operations role focused on administrative excellence, production readiness, and operational best practices, with mentoring for virtualization engineers. You will collaborate with Red Hat and internal stakeholders to support implementation and ongoing operations.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen and develop operational capabilities for the Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization platform
• Drive platform administration, incident management, troubleshooting, and capacity planning
• Establish operational processes with the Virtualization Team to reach production readiness
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code standards, operational documentation, and automation
• Act as a subject matter expert and mentor other virtualization specialists
• Collaborate with Red Hat and internal stakeholders for implementation and ongoing operations

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise virtualization and infrastructure operations
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization, Red Hat virtualization technologies, or related virtualization platforms
• Strong Linux administration background
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized platforms
• Understanding of enterprise networking, storage, and security concepts
• Ability to work in operational environments supporting mission-critical infrastructure
