Description

You will be responsible for end-to-end cloud data processing solutions co-created with your team, built on AWS. The role focuses on creating and optimizing ETL/ELT solutions using advanced SQL and Databricks, applying Delta Lake and Data Lakehouse concepts, and ensuring proper monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. You will also document solutions and work with clients to align delivery with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the full set of solutions developed together with the team
• Create or modify cloud-based data processing solutions
• Create and update documentation
• Analyze and optimize solutions for both existing and planned systems
• Assess customer requirements to deliver the best-fit solution for business goals
• Analyze potential threats and risks
• Adjust solutions to business requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of IT experience, including at least 3.5 years working with cloud data in AWS production (confirmed by implemented commercial projects)
• Commercial experience with large-scale data processing using Databricks
• Advanced SQL applied in technical solutions (including MS and other environments)
• Working knowledge of Git and CI/CD (applied fluently)
• Ability to design and optimize data processing solutions (ETL, ELT) preceded by technical design and alternative approach evaluation
• Competence in monitoring, diagnostics, and resolving cloud problems; ability to plan infrastructure and calculate costs
• Familiarity with Delta Lake and Data Lakehouse
• Knowledge of SMP and MPP architectures with example implementations
• Knowledge of on-premises to cloud migration and basic migration types
• Knowledge of secure storage and processing mechanisms for cloud data
• Very strong knowledge of AWS data storage and data processing services
• Experience with direct client collaboration
• English at least B2
