Description

Maintain and validate security and reference data across financial instruments used in trading, risk, and operational processes. Investigate and resolve data quality issues and exceptions, enforce data standards, and act as a quality gatekeeper. Improve data controls and workflows using SQL, Python, AI, and automation while collaborating with multiple internal teams and data providers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and validate security and reference data across financial instruments

• Investigate and resolve data quality issues and exceptions

• Analyze financial datasets using SQL queries

• Support automation initiatives using Python and AI tools

• Collaborate with data providers, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams

• Identify potential data issues and enforce quality gates

• Improve data controls, workflows, and operational processes

Requirements

• 3–4+ years of relevant experience in reference data, securities operations, fund administration, or a similar financial environment

• Strong understanding of data quality and operational controls

• Confident working with SQL and discussing query results

• Python and automation experience (highly desirable)

• Interest in AI and emerging technologies

• Knowledge of equities, bonds, and options (beneficial)

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• High ownership, accountability, and attention to detail

• Ability to identify issues, challenge data quality, and work effectively with business and technology stakeholders
