Description

Work on Cartalo and client-dedicated e-commerce platforms in PHP 8.x and Symfony. Use AI tools in daily development, while maintaining strict code quality through static analysis, automated refactoring, and expanding test coverage. Design and optimize database queries and data structures, integrate with client systems, and propose technical modernization with analytical support for project decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop Cartalo and client-focused e-commerce platforms

• Use AI tools in everyday development and help shape internal standards for their use

• Improve code quality using static analysis, automated refactoring, and adding test coverage

• Design and optimize database queries and data structures

• Build integrations with client systems

• Analyze requirements and propose technical solutions, including modernization of existing components

• Support project managers with analytical input for estimates and technical decisions

Requirements

• Strong command of PHP 8.x supported by completed projects

• Practical experience with Symfony (implementation and configuration)

• SQL skills for query plan analysis and optimization

• Knowledge of OOP patterns and SOLID confirmed in practice

• Efficient use of Git and GitLab

• Experience making module-level project decisions

• Well-formed, justified approach to using AI tools in programming tasks

• Prompt engineering know-how: structure, examples, enforcing response format, explicit evaluation criteria

• Critical attitude toward model-generated results and habit of verifying them

• English B2 for technical documentation and occasional client meetings

• Nice to have: MCP; building own tools for agents; prompt evaluation; managing cost and context for long-distance tasks
