Description

Join an AI-first enterprise e-procurement platform as a backend engineer, focusing primarily on building new modules and APIs in PHP/Symfony. You’ll also contribute to Python services and serverless functions (Node.js/Python), integrating them into LLM/AI workflows and distributed asynchronous processing. The role emphasizes production reliability, API versioning/backward compatibility, and diagnosing performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop new domain modules and APIs in PHP/Symfony

• Build and maintain Python services and Node.js/Python AWS Lambda functions

• Collaborate on integrating new modules with AI/LLM workflows

• Implement integrations and asynchronous processing (SQS/events) and email-based processes (SES)

• Improve reliability using retry, idempotency, correlation, and monitoring

• Design APIs with versioning and backward compatibility in mind

• Work with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch

• Diagnose production issues and performance bottlenecks

• Contribute to technical decisions and clearly communicate risks and trade-offs

Requirements

• 4–8 years of commercial backend experience

• Strong knowledge of PHP and Symfony

• Experience with production systems, APIs, and integrations

• Strong SQL knowledge (preferably PostgreSQL)

• Willingness to work across multiple languages (learn Python and Node.js)

• Independence and clear communication of progress, risks, and problems
