Description

Work on data engineering projects for clients in regulated sectors, including energy. You will independently deliver solutions end to end—from requirements analysis through implementation and deployment—covering PostgreSQL databases, Apache NiFi data flows, database optimization, and REST API design. The role includes developing an existing production platform and building new systems from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Design and build databases with a focus on PostgreSQL.
• Build and develop data flow pipelines in Apache NiFi.
• Design REST APIs on top of the database in collaboration with the frontend team.
• Optimize databases and tune SQL queries for large data volumes.
• Work on requirements for APIs, infrastructure, and databases for new solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience working with databases.
• 5+ years of experience with ETL processes.
• Expert knowledge of Apache NiFi for designing and implementing data flows.
• Expert knowledge of relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and advanced data modeling.
• Experience tuning SQL query performance for large data volumes.
• Ability to design REST APIs (configuration over the database is sufficient; no need to program in Java/.NET).
• Basic Python for scripts; Linux and Bash knowledge.
• Full independence in running projects.
• English level at least B2.
