Description

Design and model PostgreSQL databases for regulated-sector projects, optimizing SQL performance for large data volumes. Build and evolve ETL data flows using Apache NiFi and expose database functionality via REST APIs for frontend consumption. You will develop new solutions from scratch and enhance an existing production platform, taking ownership of data architecture and query performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and model PostgreSQL databases

• Optimize databases and tune SQL queries for high data volumes

• Expose REST API over the database for frontend needs

• Define database, API, and infrastructure requirements for new solutions

• Build and develop Apache NiFi data flows that feed databases

• Extend the existing production platform and build new solutions from scratch

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of database experience

• Minimum 5 years of ETL experience

• Expert relational database knowledge with a focus on PostgreSQL

• Advanced data modeling skills

• Practical experience in performance tuning of SQL queries

• Expert knowledge of Apache NiFi

• Ability to design and configure a REST API over a database (e.g., Azure Data API Builder) without Java/.NET programming

• Basic Python skills for scripts

• Knowledge of Linux environment and Bash

• Independence and ability to make project decisions

• English proficiency at least B2
