Description

Senior Hardware Mechanical Engineer role focused on automotive electronic hardware/mechanical design for compute products and ECU projects. You will analyze internal and customer requirements, lead mechanical design with cross-functional collaboration, and ensure EMC/ESD and thermal compliance through accurate dimensional control (tolerance stack-ups and GD&T). You will also support BOM creation and early-phase ECU design activities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret internal and customer requirements using Polarion and DOORS

• Lead the mechanical design process while collaborating with CAD designers and cross-disciplinary teams

• Ensure dimensional accuracy for assembly and performance using tolerance stack-up calculations

• Participate in Bill of Materials (BOM) creation

• Oversee mechanical design activities for ECU projects during initial design phases

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Automotive Industry, preferably in automotive electronic hardware design

• At least 5 years in manufacturing technologies (sheet metal, die casting, plastic design)

• Strong knowledge of EMC and ESD design requirements

• Practical understanding of thermal management in electronic head units

• Hands-on GD&T experience

• Proficiency in written and spoken English

• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Polarion and DFMEA

• Familiarity with advanced thermal management technologies
