Permanent full-time position as an IT Systems Integration Specialist (m/w/d) in the Technology department (salary range 44,800–63,900 EUR/year depending on qualifications; TVöD-VKA pay group 9a).

Description

You will be the first point of contact for the administration’s IT tickets across 1st–3rd level support, handling installations and rollouts while operating and improving core infrastructure such as networking, VMware, Microsoft 365, and the document management system. The role also includes running AI services on the NVIDIA DGX Spark platform, and supporting IT continuity through failover and alternative internet concepts.

Responsibilities

• Process IT tickets for the entire administration (1st to 3rd level)
• Install hardware and software and carry out rollouts
• Administer switches, VLANs, VPN, and firewalls; connect external sites via fiber, radio links, and Starlink and support on-site
• Operate the VMware environment and backups with Veeam, including regular restore tests
• Perform updates for clients, servers, and applications; assess vulnerabilities and keep systems current
• Manage and further develop the Microsoft 365 platform
• Operate DMS enaio and digital workflows (e.g., invoice and mail intake), manage permissions, and support users
• Run locally hosted language models on NVIDIA DGX Spark and provide AI services for the administration
• Develop disaster recovery measures: fallback scenarios, failover concepts, and alternative internet connections
• Manage Mobile Device Management for administration smartphones and tablets

Requirements

• Completed training as an IT Specialist (m/w/d) for System Integration or comparable IT qualification
• Strong interest in IT and willingness to learn new topics
• Careful, structured working style and thorough documentation
• Friendly, clear communication by phone, email, and on-site
• Team spirit and reliability
• Driver’s license class B for trips to external sites
• Beneficial: experience or knowledge in networking, virtualization, Microsoft 365, DMS, or AI
