Description

You will coordinate and further develop AI projects and innovation initiatives for teaching and learning at a higher-education center. The role includes building cross-university coordination structures, mapping and documenting existing AI activities, and developing an AI strategy for study and teaching with stakeholders. You will also design and moderate exchange formats and prepare outcomes and best practices for internal and external visibility.

Responsibilities

• Build and pilot cross-university coordination structures to network and structurally develop existing AI projects, AI initiatives, and other initiatives for innovative teaching.
• Identify, bundle, and document existing AI activities to create an AI strategy for study and teaching.
• Initiate and accompany a stakeholder network, especially with central units, Education Support, teaching-related departments, AI projects, and faculties.
• Conceptualize and moderate networking and participation formats such as workshops, strategy rounds, barcamps, community meetups, or transfer events.
• Prepare project results, good practices, experience reports, and strategic developments together with internal stakeholders and strengthen their external visibility.
• Monitor relevant developments in AI, higher-education teaching, and digital transformation and prepare them for strategic project work.

Requirements

• Master’s-level university degree, preferably in education sciences, higher-education didactics, media, social sciences, media education, organizational development, digital transformation, or a comparable field.
• Experience in project management and coordinating complex initiatives or strategic development of education, digitalization, or innovation projects.
• Strong interest in AI and its significance for teaching and higher-education development; practical AI application experience is desirable.
• Interest in innovation, change processes, and responsible technology design.
• Experience in higher-education teaching; knowledge of the German higher-education system, DHBW structure, or higher-education didactics is desirable.
• Ability to quickly grasp, structure, and communicate complex topics and bridge strategic, academic, didactic, and organizational perspectives.
• Experience designing, moderating, and documenting workshops, exchange formats, or committee processes (in-person and virtual).
• High teamwork and communication competence; independent, reliable, careful work; initiative and willingness to shape.
• Very good IT skills and Microsoft Office; ability to learn new programs quickly; confident use of virtual collaboration tools and digital communication formats.
• Very good German and English proficiency (spoken and written).
• Ability to use flexible working styles and mobile work in a task-oriented manner.
• Willingness for occasional business travel.
