Description

Develop production-ready Class-A 3D surfaces for consumer devices by translating industrial design intent from concept through manufacturing. Use NX/Alias to create and maintain high-quality CAD models, collaborating across Industrial Design, UX, Engineering, and Manufacturing. Partner cross-functionally to inform mechanical/component architecture and develop innovative appearance concepts, visualizations, and functional prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Leverage NX/Alias to capture and maintain industrial design intent from sketches, reference CAD, and discussions

• Collaborate with Industrial Design, UX, Engineering, Manufacturing, and external teams to deliver production-level CAD models with Class-A surfaces (in NX/Alias)

• Create high-quality 3D surfaces for design concepts, prototypes, engineering evaluations, and visualizations

• Work independently and cross-functionally throughout the development and build process (travel may be needed to ensure manufacturing viability)

• Present knowledge of new materials and processes and identify future tools/processes to enhance capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, Manufacturing) or equivalent practical experience

• 6+ years of consumer product design experience, including consumer electronics

• Experience with 3D surfacing using NX/Alias

• Experience designing and shipping consumer products

Benefits

• Individual pay determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training

• US: $159,000–$230,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
