Description

Lead the technical strategy, architecture, and execution for Power BI Growth & Distribution investments, building secure, reliable, and highly scalable distributed systems that power growth experiences across Power BI and Microsoft 365. Partner across engineering, product management, design, data science, and partner teams to deliver end-to-end solutions with measurable business outcomes. Use telemetry and experimentation to improve user activation, retention, and engagement while influencing long-term platform strategy for personalized analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy, architecture, and execution for Power BI Growth & Distribution investments

• Design and evolve secure, reliable, highly scalable distributed systems for millions of users

• Partner cross-functionally across Microsoft to deliver end-to-end solutions

• Use telemetry, experimentation, and data-informed decision making to drive growth

• Drive technical excellence via architecture reviews, engineering best practices, operational rigor, and mentorship

• Influence long-term platform strategy for personalized and collaborative analytics

• Lead complex cross-team initiatives to advance Power BI’s integrated analytics vision

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python (or equivalent experience)

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements

• Pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
