Description

Design, build, and operationalize hyperscale distributed systems for content and media experiences. Own systems end to end—from platform architecture and processing pipelines through orchestration and serving—ensuring reliable, scalable, and high-performance operations. Build high-throughput capabilities for content ingestion, processing, transformation, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own design and development of reliable, scalable, performant distributed software systems

• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional partners to deliver impactful features and improvements

• Write maintainable, testable code; participate in code reviews; identify and resolve production issues

• Translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver solutions aligned to business goals

• Design scalable APIs, data pipelines, and feature/signal stores for secure and reliable data flow between ML systems and product surfaces

• Drive live-site excellence with instrumentation, monitoring, capacity planning, and incident response

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related technical field) AND 6+ years technical engineering experience in distributed systems and/or backend services

• Coding experience in one or more of: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python

• Ability to meet security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check at hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
