Description

You will design and govern REST API contracts across the company—from endpoint and data model design to security, permissions, documentation, versioning, and operational monitoring. You will coordinate incident analysis and resolution and define company-wide API standards (API governance). System teams implement the APIs, while you set the rules so data access is consistent, secure, and sustainable.

Responsibilities

• Design API contracts (endpoints, data structures, error states)
• Collaborate with developers and process owners on which data and functions are exposed via APIs
• Manage authorization for individual APIs and data
• Version APIs and ensure backward compatibility
• Document APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger
• Monitor availability, performance, and error rates; handle logging and auditing of access
• Analyze API incidents and coordinate resolutions
• Define API standards and governance rules across the organization
• Work with Platform/DevOps on deployment and operations
• Support API developers and other API consumers

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience designing REST APIs
• Experience with OpenAPI and creating clear, understandable documentation
• Knowledge of Git and common versioning practices
• Ability to propose and enforce standards across teams
• Independence, initiative, and ability to collaborate effectively
• Czech language proficiency at C1
