Description

You will help design and implement the software architecture and software design for maintenance information systems used in military flight operations, flight testing, and for customers. You will analyze business and non-functional requirements (e.g., scalability) to derive architecture and deployment concepts, collaborate with stakeholders to define interfaces and system functions, and support technical reviews and software testing. Your work will be documented according to the organization’s software development process.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, especially architecture and software design
• Translate business and non-functional requirements (e.g., scalability) into architecture and deployment concepts
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to define interfaces and system functions
• Support technical reviews and acceptance; help with software testing via test creation and verification
• Document work according to the software development process
• Participate in workshops with stakeholders; moderate when needed

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science or equivalent training/knowledge
• Several years of software development experience (backend and frontend), especially in software architecture
• Deep experience with RESTful APIs
• Deep experience with microservice architectures
• Deep experience with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
• Deep experience with C# and .NET Core
• Several years of experience developing and hosting cloud applications
• Experience defining and implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience configuring and running production containers with Docker and Kubernetes (Helm)
• Solid command of Git and the Atlassian Tool Suite
• Fluent German and English
• Willingness for occasional domestic and international business travel
