Description

You will lead the subject-matter work in data protection, develop, implement, and monitor the internal data protection strategy, and advise the board and business units on privacy-legal questions. The role includes proactively tracking and analyzing legal changes in national and European privacy law, overseeing DSFA (data protection impact assessments), and ensuring proper documentation of processing activities and technical-organizational measures (TOMs). You will also handle privacy incidents (including documentation and notification to supervisory authorities), support data protection audits and internal control procedures, and deliver employee privacy training materials in collaboration with HR development.

Responsibilities

• Lead data protection activities from a technical standpoint
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal data protection strategy
• Advise the board and specialist departments on data protection legal topics
• Identify and analyze legal changes, relevant case law, and authority publications; derive and implement action recommendations
• Commission, accompany, and monitor data protection impact assessments (DSFA)
• Monitor and document processing activities and technical-organizational measures (TOMs)
• Review and document data protection incidents and report them to supervisory authorities
• Prepare, conduct, and support data protection audits and internal control procedures
• Create training materials with HR development and conduct employee privacy trainings

Requirements

• Completed commercial or legal vocational training
• Qualified continuing education related to data protection
• First professional experience in data protection
• Very good English skills
• Good knowledge and confident handling of GDPR and legal data protection regulations
• High flexibility and communication skills
