Description

You will own platform responsibilities that impact feature teams, improving and operating a cloud platform running primarily on AWS ECS and Lambda. The role focuses on shaping the AWS continuous-delivery pipeline, designing infrastructure as code with CloudFormation and AWS CDK in TypeScript, and operating platform components and supporting services such as AWS CodeArtifact and ECR. You will also provide and enhance local developer tooling to improve Developer Experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with feature teams to understand needs and deliver reliable platform capabilities

• Build, improve, and continuously enhance the AWS CI/CD pipeline, including automated build, test, and deploy workflows

• Design and implement AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation (CFN) and AWS CDK in TypeScript

• Contribute to architecture decisions and the evolution of the engineering tooling landscape

• Operate and evolve supporting services including AWS CodeArtifact and ECR for artifact and container-image management

• Configure and operate central platform components

• Provide and further develop local developer tooling to improve Developer Experience

Requirements

• Senior-level expertise in developing platform and CI/CD strategies; ability to make well-founded technical decisions independently

• Strong ability to work closely with feature teams and within the platform team to implement solutions

• Solid AWS experience, especially ECS, VPC, AWS WAF, CloudFront, and CloudFormation (CFN)

• Good knowledge of TypeScript and basic knowledge of Java

• Confident use of Gradle, Git, AWS CodeArtifact, and ECR

• AWS CDK in TypeScript and networking (VPN setup) experience is a plus

• Practical experience setting up local developer tooling and a strong understanding of Developer Experience

• Optional: Spring Boot, Angular, Flutter; networking technologies and VPN configuration

• Conversational German required
