Description

You will support the replacement of the existing policy management system for general insurance and help shape the new application architecture. The role includes integrating a new Java-based system and taking responsibility across the full software lifecycle—from concept and development through testing and production deployment. You will work closely with business units, service providers, and IT operations to drive technical improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support the strategic replacement of the current policy management system

• Actively shape the technological reorientation of the application landscape

• Contribute to the integration of a new Java-based policy management system (architecture, development, technical conception)

• Independently solve technical challenges during replacement and integration

• Take an active role and responsibility in all phases of software development (concept, development, test, productive rollout)

• Collaborate closely with business departments, service providers, and IT operations to align tasks

• Help design the company’s technological future

Requirements

• Multi-year professional and project experience with Java applications

• Enjoyment of software development

• Fast, structured onboarding into new technologies, frameworks, and system landscapes

• Identify optimization opportunities and proactively suggest improvements

• Clear, structured, stakeholder-appropriate communication with the developer team and business areas

• Strong ownership and solution-oriented behavior in complex situations

• Completed training as a Fachinformatiker/in, a computer science degree, or comparable education
