Description

You will support the replacement of an existing policy administration system in the area of general insurance and help shape a technological redesign of the application landscape. The role involves integrating a new Java-based policy administration system and contributing expertise across architecture, development, and technical design. You will take responsibility throughout the software lifecycle—from conception and development to testing and production rollout—while working closely with business areas and IT operations in an agile team.

Responsibilities

• Strategic support for replacing the existing policy administration system (general insurance)

• Contribute to the integration of a new Java-based policy administration system

• Provide expertise in architecture, development, and technical conception

• Solve technical challenges during software replacement and integration

• Own tasks across all software phases: concept, development, testing, and productive rollout

• Collaborate closely with business departments, service providers, and IT operations in an agile team

• Help shape the company’s technological future

Requirements

• Multi-year professional and project experience with Java applications

• Enjoyment of software development

• Ability to quickly and structuredly learn new technologies, frameworks, and system landscapes

• Identify optimization potential and proactively propose improvements

• Clear, structured, audience-appropriate communication with the development team and business units

• Sense of responsibility and solution-oriented behavior in complex situations

• Ability to prioritize clearly

• Completed training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker), a computer science degree, or comparable education
