Description

Design, develop, and maintain features within the Automated Security Retest Engine platform. Build and enhance Python-based processing pipelines and Java Spring Boot application components, including integrations with external tools and REST APIs. Improve the reliability, accuracy, and quality of automated security tests and analysis while following secure development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend features in the Automated Security Retest Engine
  • Enhance Python processing pipelines and Java Spring Boot components
  • Build and maintain integrations with external tools, services, and REST APIs
  • Improve reliability, accuracy, and quality of automated security tests and analysis
  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated tests
  • Troubleshoot defects and resolve technical issues
  • Apply secure software development practices (input validation, access control, credential protection, secure data handling)
  • Ensure compliance with security testing scopes and maintain evidence of remediation verification
  • Collaborate with security and product stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, continuous improvements, and technical documentation

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience with Python and and/or Java
  • Hands-on backend experience developing and maintaining REST APIs
  • Familiarity with Spring Boot (Java) or modular application design and dependency management (Python)
  • Experience writing and maintaining automated tests
  • Understanding of secure software development principles (input validation, authentication, authorization, secure handling of sensitive data)
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative development practices including code reviews
  • Ability to analyze existing codebases, troubleshoot defects, and deliver maintainable, well-documented solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and with stakeholders
  • Strong command of written and spoken English for technical communication and documentation
