Description

You will join the Checkout team to enhance the checkout process and the post booking experience. The role combines end-to-end ownership of features, technical design, and collaboration with architects and business stakeholders to optimize the booking flow. You’ll work with a backend stack including PHP, Symfony, relational databases, Elasticsearch, messaging, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of features from refinement to production, including engineering decisions
• Design and build applications in partnership with architects to ensure scalability, reliability, and usability
• Work with business stakeholders to define requirements, plan milestones, and iterate based on measured performance
• Contribute to technical and architectural standards across the company
• Mentor teammates and participate in hiring
• Work with technologies across PHP, SQL databases, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, SQS, Kubernetes, and AWS

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Deep expertise in PHP and Symfony
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems
• Solid knowledge of relational databases
• Experience designing APIs and integrating with third-party systems
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based tools, both as a user and as an engineer building AI-driven solutions
• Ability to work directly with business stakeholders
• Professional working proficiency in English

• Salary range: 131–179 PLN/h + VAT (B2B) or 18,260–24,900 PLN gross (Permanent)
