Description

You will contribute to making PyTorch run correctly and at full speed on next-generation AI accelerator hardware. The work includes reproducing and root-causing framework bugs, fixing them in C++ or Python, implementing operators, extending tests, and keeping CI green. You’ll also debug and profile on accelerator devices and track regressions through benchmarks and git bisect, delivering end-to-end changes via upstream pull requests.

Responsibilities

• Reproduce, root-cause, and fix PyTorch framework bugs in C++ or Python

• Fix and extend tests in the PyTorch test framework and maintain CI stability

• Implement operators ranging from simple to complex performance-critical paths

• Debug and profile on accelerator hardware to close performance and accuracy gaps

• Take tasks end-to-end from first reproduction to merged upstream pull request

• Track down regressions using git bisect and benchmark suites

• Work independently on larger features as experience grows

Requirements

• Hands-on development experience with the Gaudi AI accelerator software stack (Gaudi SW stack / Gaudi PyTorch bridge)

• Strong C++ and Python

• PyTorch testing experience with pytest and the PyTorch test framework (OpInfo, common_device_type/instantiate_device_type_tests, common_utils)

• Basic GPU/accelerator programming knowledge (SYCL, CUDA, or OpenCL)

• Debugging and profiling skills for accelerator hardware

• CI experience with GitHub Actions and Jenkins

• Linux, Docker, and git experience including git bisect

• Understanding of deep learning and PyTorch fundamentals

• Familiarity with dynamo benchmark suites
