Description

You’ll build and improve core HR workflows in Node.js, working on rules-heavy domains where correctness and reliability are essential (e.g., country-specific time-off policies). You will design, maintain, and refactor scalable backend services, improving performance, reliability, and maintainability as the platform grows. Occasionally, you may contribute to frontend development in React when it helps deliver the best customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve HR workflows and domain rules in Node.js
• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services
• Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing features
• Refactor and modernize the platform for existing customers
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, designers, and engineers to solve customer problems
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Extensive experience designing and building scalable backend applications with Node.js
• React experience (or interest in contributing across the stack)
• Senior-level engineering judgment
• Product mindset and ability to work with evolving requirements
• Curiosity and flexibility to learn new technologies
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English
