• Role: IT Administrator (Microsoft 365, Endpoints & Security)

Description

You will administer and secure Windows endpoints and Microsoft 365 applications in an end-to-end Microsoft 365 environment. You will manage devices with Microsoft Intune, triage alerts from Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, automate recurring tasks with PowerShell, and create hardening and protection concepts based on vulnerability and threat analysis.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve incidents across endpoints, Microsoft 365 applications, and security settings; implement quick, sustainable solutions

• Develop scripts (e.g., PowerShell) to automate recurring administrative and verification tasks

• Analyze Microsoft Defender for Endpoint alarms, classify false positives vs. real threats, and take direct action for active threats

• Centrally manage endpoints with Microsoft Intune: configure baseline settings, define security rules, deploy and update Microsoft 365 applications

• Create Windows hardening concepts aligned with IT Security requirements and assess impacts on business applications in coordination with Client Operations Management

• Evaluate security alerts, vendor guidance, and announced Microsoft changes; analyze new attack methods, assess system exposure, and propose preventive protective measures

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration (Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration)

• Several years of professional experience administering and securing Windows endpoints independently in a Microsoft 365 environment

• Practical, application-ready knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and deployment of Microsoft 365 applications to endpoints

• Knowledge of Windows endpoint hardening, security-related Group Policy, and device-related settings/permissions in Active Directory

• Experience assessing vulnerabilities and attack methods and creating/implementing technical security concepts

• Day-to-day PowerShell skills and good English to understand technical vendor documentation
