Description

You will own the end-to-end design, implementation, and integration testing of networking dataplane features that run on the EC2 Nitro System. The work includes building secure, scalable services for monitoring, diagnostics, and automated recovery, and developing next-generation hardware/software validation platforms to support efficient CI/CD. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design system architectures and deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, scoping, implementation, and integration testing of new features for the EC2 Nitro System

• Design and build secure and scalable services for monitoring, diagnostics, and automated recovery

• Design and build next generation hardware/software validation platforms to enable efficient CI/CD

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on requirements, system architecture, and scalable implementation

• Continuously improve development processes, tools, and automation to increase productivity and quality

• Mentor junior engineers on scoping, design, and scalable, maintainable code

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, scalability)

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, operations)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
