Description

Design and implement reporting solutions and a scalable data platform on Databricks. Build and integrate data pipelines into a company-wide Data Lake using a Medallion (layered) architecture, including a high-performance reporting data model. Ensure deployment readiness across multi-tier environments with quality gates, optimize for efficiency and quality, and document architectural decisions and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement reporting solutions

• Design and develop a scalable data platform solution using Databricks

• Integrate data into the company Data Lake using a Medallion architecture

• Develop a high-performance reporting data model aligned with company IT requirements

• Support deployment across multi-tier environments and quality gates

• Implement optimization measures to improve efficiency and quality

• Document architectural decisions, processes, and project results

Requirements

• Several years of Databricks experience designing and implementing data engineering solutions (data modeling, ETL, orchestration)

• In-depth understanding of layered data models (Medallion architecture)

• Experience developing authorization and access-control concepts

• Knowledge of Continuous Ingestion / Continuous Development

• Strong understanding of modern data platforms

• Solution-oriented, structured way of working

• Very good communication and moderation skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python

• Understanding of ITIL (IT Service Management processes)

• Experience in agile projects, particularly Scrum
