Description

You will design, build, and manage enterprise data solutions in public cloud environments such as AWS and Azure. The role focuses on developing and maintaining data pipelines and platform components, including data acquisition, transformation/normalization, storage, and data access/distribution. You will also support migration from on-premises data centers to the cloud and continuously improve data quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage enterprise data solutions in AWS and Azure
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and enterprise data platform components
• Implement data acquisition using APIs, FTP, and other sources
• Transform, normalize, and integrate raw data into structured database schemas
• Build and maintain data storage solutions (raw files, databases, data platforms)
• Develop data distribution and access solutions (APIs, file extracts, user query interfaces)
• Implement secure and auditable data processes to ensure integrity, accuracy, and availability
• Collaborate with data scientists, data architects, and stakeholders on data requirements
• Troubleshoot data issues and improve quality and reliability
• Contribute to enterprise data platform and strategic data initiatives

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
• Advanced SQL and Python
• Hands-on AWS and/or Azure experience
• Experience with DBMS and ETL/ELT tools
• Hands-on Databricks and/or Snowflake
• Experience with data acquisition via APIs, FTP downloads, and other data sources
• ETL and data transformation/normalization from raw data to structured schemas
• Data storage experience with raw files and database systems
• Experience building enterprise data platform components (data warehouses, operational data stores, data access layers)
• Experience developing data access solutions (APIs, file extracts, user query interfaces)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in distributed, team-oriented environments
