Description

As a Cloud Data Engineer, you design and build scalable data platform solutions on the Databricks platform for Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Data Platform use cases. You bring strong Databricks and Spark expertise (PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) and take ownership of cloud data engineering project delivery. You also use AI tools in your domain, critically evaluate outcomes, and help teams and clients unlock AI-driven data and analytics potential.

Responsibilities

• Develop data integration solutions for Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Data Platform centered on Databricks

• Implement scalable and efficient data platform architectures on Databricks

• Coordinate cloud data engineering projects and collaborate with customers and project team members

• Serve as the first point of contact for technical and methodological questions

• Support team development through knowledge sharing and contributing to the consulting strategy

• Integrate modern data architectures and build solutions for next-generation analytics

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent training, plus relevant practical experience in Data & Analytics Consulting or Software Engineering

• Expert knowledge in Databricks

• Proficiency with Spark, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog

• Strong team coordination and project leadership skills with high customer orientation

• Ability to use AI tools confidently and critically assess results

• Very good German and good English communication skills
