Warsaw, Poland

Quick Facts

  • Role: Senior Analytics Engineer

Description

Own the Gold layer for a business domain by designing and continuously improving curated dimensional data models that power dashboards, Genie spaces, and ELT reporting. Implement governed business logic behind core KPIs using versioned metric marts, and deliver a semantic layer (metadata, documentation, prompt/metric definitions) so stakeholders can query trustworthy data in plain language via Claude and Databricks Genie. Partner to manage data contracts and SLAs, ensure data quality and freshness at the Silver→Gold boundary, and build certified, board-ready reporting products.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and iteratively improve Gold-layer dimensional models for key business domains (e.g., PLG funnel, marketing attribution, revenue, NPI/AWM)

  • Translate KPIs into governed, versioned metric marts that reduce “this number doesn’t match” disputes

  • Author and maintain the semantic layer and Genie spaces that enable self-serve querying

  • Own the domain metric dictionary as the source of truth for metric meaning, ownership, and location

  • Partner across DS&A to keep KPI definitions consistent across overlapping domains

  • Define and enforce data contracts and SLAs for the Silver→Gold boundary; own data quality, freshness, and oncall for Gold/metric-mart failures

  • Build and maintain certified, board-ready dashboards using governed Gold data

  • Collaborate with Product, Business, Data Science, and Engineering to convert ambiguous questions into scalable datasets and raise the data-model quality bar

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a closely related analytics role

  • Advanced SQL and strong data modeling fundamentals (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, semantic layer design)

  • Hands-on experience with dbt (or equivalent), orchestration tools such as Airflow, and Git

  • Experience with warehouse/lakehouse platforms (Databricks preferred)

  • Practical experience with data quality testing and observability, schema management, data contracts, and performance/cost tuning

  • Domain fluency in at least one business area (e.g., PLG funnels, marketing attribution, product telemetry, revenue/ARR)

  • Strong cross-functional partnership skills for requirements, prioritization, documentation, enablement, and communicating technical tradeoffs

Benefits

  • Generous, transparent compensation (base salary and RSUs)

  • Health insurance with dental and travel coverage (Lux Med)

  • Vacation allowance

  • Career growth and home office setup budgets

  • Gym/Fitness card

  • Fertility healthcare and family-forming support with Carrot

  • Mental health support (Modern Health)

  • Group life insurance

  • MacBooks with necessary accessories
