Description

Strategic role bridging innovative technical solutions and organizational standards for data management. You will shape the target data architecture, support key transformation programs, and ensure data is consistent, secure, and ready for advanced analytics, automation, and AI in hybrid environments (on-premise, private cloud, public cloud; IT/OT).

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the organization’s target data architecture based on business, digital, and technology strategy.

• Set rules for data flow between source systems, integration platforms, repositories, reporting systems, and AI/ML solutions.

• Create conceptual and logical data models; oversee physical models; define integration, storage, cataloging, and archiving guidelines.

• Co-create the Data Governance Model (quality indicators, metadata, Master Data Management), define data domains/products, and design security, access control, and regulatory compliance mechanisms.

• Collaborate with enterprise, cloud, integration, and AI teams; review project and business initiative architecture.

• Prepare architecture decisions (ADR), development roadmaps, and technology option analysis; participate in RFI/RFP and vendor evaluations.

• Provide subject-matter mentoring and build organizational capability in data architecture and data management.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in data and IT; at least 4 years in a Data Architect/Lead Data Architect (or equivalent) role.

• Documented successes delivering data architecture for large, complex organizations.

• Very good understanding of architectural patterns: Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Lakehouse, Data Hub, Data Fabric, Data Mesh.

• Practical experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT, APIs, and event and streaming processing.

• Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, MDM, and data lifecycle management.

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, GCP, AWS) and modern tools (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric).

• Ability to design architectures for analytics, AI, and Machine Learning.

• Knowledge of data security, permission management, information classification, and GDPR/RODO requirements.

• Hands-on ability to produce architecture documentation, diagrams, and ADR entries.

• Strong communication skills; ability to translate business needs into technology and build alignment across Business–IT.

• Fluent Polish and English for technical documentation and external partners.
