Description

Lead the strategy to evolve validation from fragmented programs into a connected, intelligent, and AI-powered capability for Windows servicing. You will modernize validation planning, execution, analysis, and operationalization across the engineering lifecycle to improve engineering confidence, release readiness, risk reduction, and feedback speed. You will lead teams and manage a portfolio of validation programs and external execution to deliver measurable engineering outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive a transformation strategy for validation solutions and programs into an AI-powered validation ecosystem

  • Reimagine validation planning, execution, analysis, and operationalization across the engineering lifecycle

  • Establish measurable outcomes for confidence, release readiness, risk reduction, coverage, quality, speed, and cost efficiency

  • Lead, coach, and develop an inclusive, high-performing engineering team; build an operating model for distributed teams and partners

  • Drive AI-powered validation agents, automated investigation, risk assessment, coverage intelligence, and engineering decision-support systems

  • Ensure responsible AI practices: evaluation, auditability, governance, and human oversight

  • Own validation portfolio strategy, prioritization, investment roadmap, and operational effectiveness across programs and platforms

  • Modernize, consolidate, integrate, scale, or retire validation solutions based on engineering value and risk

  • Unify validation results and signals (coverage metrics, security signals, compliance, release-readiness evidence) into clear engineering confidence views

  • Provide governance for vendor/contractor validation work and manage scope, quality expectations, performance, and outcome measurement

  • Align external investments with validation priorities, quality expectations, coverage objectives, and measurable outcomes

  • Partner across engineering, security, release management, engineering systems, and product management to reduce duplication and improve reuse

  • Establish architecture and operational excellence for validation platforms/services, including reliability, observability, security, privacy, and live-site readiness
