Description

Lead the requirements-to-prototype pipeline and the delivery of accessible, enterprise-grade portal experiences. Define and enforce UI/UX standards and governance for design systems, then architect and build key shared React/TypeScript components. Collaborate with backend/API teams, ensure WCAG 2.1 AA compliance and responsive design, iterate via usability validation, and mentor mid-level developers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
• Define and enforce UI/UX standards, interaction patterns, and design system governance across portal applications
• Architect and develop React/TypeScript components and shared UI libraries
• Review pull requests and provide feedback on design fidelity and code quality
• Coordinate with backend/API teams to ensure feasibility and optimize within service/data constraints
• Drive accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA) and responsive design across all portal screens
• Conduct usability testing/validation and iterate based on feedback and analytics
• Mentor mid-level UI/UX developers and share React best practices

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma (component libraries and design systems)
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js and TypeScript (component architecture, state management, hooks)
• Proven ability to translate designs into responsive, accessible UI
• Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift) and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent stakeholder management; comfortable defending design decisions
• Experience reviewing code and providing technical feedback in a team
